It seems that with a very inquisitive ten year old in the house that he discovered how we could cut out the candles which are made from petroleum and choose to go with soy candles which are much more expensive.  However, he did give us another alternative and that would be to install lighting control.  It seems he found out that by using a dimmer switch, we could actually save energy costs by approximately 20% and even add to the life of the light bulb itself.  So after his “energy audit”, our household is dedicated to cutting energy usage and saving the money for our family vacation next summer.
