Common Computer Problems: The CD ROM
The most Common Computer Problems encountered with CD ROM’s is mainly due to dirt accumulating on any of its parts. However, there are some which may be due to power and electrical causes. Enumerated below is a list of CD ROM problems why you might encounter from time to time.
1. Dead CD ROM – due to faulty power supply
2. Operational CD ROM withouth any display or partial display – could be due to burnt back-light bulb, bad connections or faulty power supply
3. CD ROM ignores commands – caused by bad connections on the buttons
4. Drawer does not open – due to worn out beltor dirty mechanism
5. Disc Error – incorrect placement of cd or defective cd
