I have often thought that the reality shows that made that form of TV programming popular were as far away from reality shows as possible. How many people are, in the course of their day, going to find themselves stranded in a remote location with 24 strangers. How many people are going to unwittingly have the chance to tryout for a real-estate mogul. Not what I would call reality. That is why shows like Runs House or the Osbourne’s truly embody a reality series. While it is about people who live much better than most people do, it is in a way, reality.
