Though the tandem style Kombikinderwagen has quite a few advantages over other models of double prams, their main disadvantage is the compromise on smooth steering. Also the front seat has limited recline, shallow seat and has no support at the back making it suitable for older children only. Another style of the double pram (Kombikinderwagen) is the sit ‘n’ stand, which is a hybrid model of single pram and a step and a tandem pram. There is a bench seat fixed right behind the main seat, where the older child gets to either sit or stand. The disadvantage here is it is longer than the regular Kombikinderwagen and difficult to steer.
