My grandparents live alone, and their house is far from the road and down a long driveway. I tried to get them to have a home alarm system installed, but they didn’t want that, and they didn’t want to take care of a security dog. I asked them if they would consider personal protection alarms, and they said that they would. I got them each a handheld unit that they could activate if they felt threatened, and also a door alarm for their back door. We told their neighbors what to listen for in case the alarms should ever be triggered, and we all feel safer now!
