There is no ideal time for you get planning the way how you would want your home to be built. But if you are really looking for THE TIME, then you should be starting six months prior to the construction of your home. This means that six months before the actual construction begins, you should have the plan ready with you. Considering that designers need some time to work on a good modern house plan, you should ideally start thinking about eight months before. You need to give the designers couple months to allow them to come up with a classy plan.
