I always envisioned Martha Stewart’s home as being impeccable. That everything is so cute and awesome that no one person’s home could hold a candle to it. Anyway, I digress, what I really wanted to describe was some quick handmade gifts I received. My friend said it was quick and simple to create. Hand painted, personalized hand towels that would do Martha proud.The process is easy. You need hand towels with a flat weave, no nap so the paint will adhere ok. If you are really handy you can free hand paint on the initial with fabric paint, or do as I plan to when I use this idea, get a stencil and paint over that. One tip though, watch what paint you use, it has to be fabric paint and sometimes you need to iron over the paint to set it. See what the manufacturer says.
