Perhaps, with Congress on vacation travel and vacation President Obama staying out of the economic fray and ready to go on vacation himself, Wall Street will now have only themselves to rely upon. Hooray!! Who knows how to run Wall Street better than Wall Street? Without everyone putting in their last 2 cents, Wall St. can now get back to the business of making money and improving the economy.

Maybe, we should change the locks on the White House and Capital Building while they are all out of town. Since they can’t seem to understand that they should be working in a time of crisis they probably should just all get pink slips. I’d be happy to volunteer to deliver them in person.

He Has Got to Grow Up

I have told my wife over and over again that we have got to let our son start growing up. He is going to have to learn that he is an adult and that he is responsible for his actions. Mark, let me bring in some quotes from another WSJ article today: The top two house Republicans, John Boehner lyrics and quotes his top deputy, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, don’t agree. They are both uncertain that ‘rank and file’ members of congress in their party would go along with either of them. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says it is all Obama’s fault. They can’t agree on what they want, but it is Obama’s fault they aren’t getting it.

Either they really ARE the Three Stooges or they don’t get that this is the nation’s economy they are talking about, not just another opportunity for political rhetoric. Time for them to grow up and get serious about negotiating. Perhaps they should consider offering a coherent plan of their own which they and their party would actually vote for?
