Nintendo Wii is different from other games in a way that it’s not only wireless but actually has a sensor which reads your hand movements. You just need to move your hands as if you are playing lawn tennis in real and you’ll see the same movement being imitated by the player inside the screen. Initially we had some problem in playing but slowly but once we got hold of the game and it became difficult to get rid of. It was an instant addiction! We spent nice half an hour (and 100 bucks!) playing the game with the game being draw (I actually beat Adi). It was a memorable experience as it felt good doing something different and breaking the monotonous routine of watching a movie every weekend. It was complete mood refreshment, also at the same time we were having a cup of coffee where its beans were freshly roasted on our alpenrost coffee Roaster.

Ok I admit… “clear choice” was a bit of a bad pun but it gets my point across.

It’s amazing to me for so many years we all just accepted the ridiculous amount of maintenance with wooden and even metal railings. Sanding, scraping, painting, staining. replacing rotten boards and more. I think we spent more time fixing them than enjoying them.

Well then came the aluminum railings which were a welcomed change and from there we now have glass railing

Ahhhh… no more maintenance, a super easy installation and the glass provides an unobstructed view. It’s about time…

The Tokyo Made Market kicked off yesterday with a huge collaborative effort from all the creators involved. The mememachine gallery is now filled with a colorful collection of independent Tokyo fashion, art and creations.

There are some awesome bargains to snap up. If you are a lover of fresh and original independent designs now is the time to grab some unique pieces at low prices.

A special event has been organized for Sunday, September 27 from 6-9pm come and kampai with us to celebrate the last day of the Tokyo Made Market. Photographer Hal will be signing copies of his latest photo book Couple Jam from 7pm at the mememachine gallery.

I dream about absolutely everything that I read. Sometimes the dreams are good. I’m sitting amidst the pub table sets watching Casablanca acted out right before my eyes. Sometimes I’m flying around on a broomstick with Harry Potter or track down criminals with Dr. Brennan. Of course, I have to be careful what I read. For instance, horror novels are anything with too much blood is automatically out. And the other night I was reading a bedtime story to my children and ended up dreaming that I was an owl on Winnie the Poo. Yeah, that wasn’t horrible but it was definitely not the kind of dream I would have intentionally.

My sister left a message on my answering machine the other day about a delivery that came to their house.  I called her back to let her know that I had written their mailing address on the order that I made for the waterproofing wood.  The reason was because I didn’t have any way to sign for it because I would be at work. I felt bad for not telling her before hand, but I knew that they had a lot of space where they could put it, and then I could just come and get it when I had a chance to.
