Expect to pay anywhere between $500 to well over $1,500 for the high-end models. One can find a leather office chair for around $150, but don’t expect a lot of features.

Whether you decide on an ergonomic chair, leather office chair or any of a number of task or desk chairs, be sure you test them out before you buy. Many office supply stores will have display models to help you make your final decision.
