I feel almost like a rock group doing a final farewell tour.   We will be circling the globe and seeing many of the places we have wanted to see.  We are telling everyone that this will be a final big trip but we know that if the opportunity presents itself we will once again start looking at Flights that will take us to someplace new.  With only two continents left to explore we can afford to take our time now and spend a lot of time seeing them.   This year we will be touring Africa from north to south and east to west.

I envy people who do not have to commute to work. I spend so many hours stuck at the train station waiting, then sitting in a crowded train packed in like a sardine. There is a four block walk from the train stop to my job and then the whole thing is repeated when work is done for the day. I wish I could call the walk from my bedroom to the spare bedroom office my commute. My daughter is nineteen and a freshman in college.  I am so proud of her.  She is majoring in broadcast journalism.  She went on a missions trip to Mexico for a week with the college.  I wanted to surprise her and give her room a makeover.  I painted the room, added Matchstick Blinds to the windows, and bought a new bedding set for the bed.  I did most of the work by myself and worked right up to the night before she got back.  She was surprise and happy that I took the time to do the makeover.  I was happy to have her back safe and sound.
