If pancakes were an animal they would be a Lion because they are King of the Jungle.  They are my favorite food to make because of the simplicity and short cooking time involved.  I have numerous pancake recipes but my favorite is the one that my mom taught me.  She developed many pancake recipes throughout the years, and I was lucky enough to learn a few.  My favorite pancake recipe includes blueberries, strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate chips.  If that doesn’t make your mouth water then I don’t know what will.  Get in the kitchen and cook some pancakes, you will love them!

When I had been single for a while my sons became worried that I was working too hard and not having fun.  I took my duties as a single parent very seriously but thought they had a good point, so I started to date.  Anyone I was seriously interested had to meet my sons for a few minutes, so they could give me their opinion. I quickly realized the kids were a great dating barometer and more than once steered me away from someone who was wrong.  In time they met the wonderful man who has been in my life now for many years, mostly because he got three thumbs up from the boys.

We arrived at the industrial power tools store after what seemed like only a few minutes. As I walked into the store, I really felt like I was far out of my comfort zone. My husbands friend just looked at me and told me that we needed to start at the Electrical section. He told me that these items were at the top of the list because you need so many of them. I stared in awe as he moved swiftly throughout the aisles picking up little gadgets here and there. He had a whole cart ful of stuff before I realized it.

There are many ways to eat a pomegranate fruit. Some people juice it and would not eat the fruit at all. But some prefer the fruit to the juice. One way to eat the fruit is to cut the fruit in half vertically.

You can do this fairly easily by holding the cut side up, cut four more segment. Each segment cut should be about an inch deep and an inch long.

Then you can turn the pomegranate over and pull the fruit open with care. The best part is this. You can take a heavy wooden spoon or other equally weighted kitchen utensil and whack the back of the pomegranate fruit. If you do it right, then the arils should fall right out easily.

Once in awhile my mother will ask me to do something that I don’t know how to accomplish. This happened the other day when she said that she felt the need to clone her hard drive. She said that she had been watching a program on television that talked about this cloning subject. I wasn’t sure how to clone a hard drive; however I was going to find out how to do it. I first went online to get a basic understanding of what it was that she was asking me to do. I then called a friend from school that knows about these things.

You would think there would be no ups about being laid off from your job, but there are.  Once you apply and get your unemployment benefits online, you will have time to not only look for a job, but you will have the freedom to catch up on the things that having a job kept you from getting done.  Maybe you need to clean out your closet and attic and have a yard sale.  That might bring you some spare cash.  You will have more time with your family.  Spending your unemployed time off wisely can actually bring you more benefits than you think.  Reconnect, get some things done and be patient when looking for a new job.
